Klipsun is the artistic alter ego of Lucas Bonatto, whose journey in electronic music began over a decade ago. Since then, he has sought a unique and consolidated expression that is evident today in his creations. Klipsun has at its core the Latin word “ipsum”, which in English translation means “himself”. Thus, understanding art as a form of expression of human consciousness and emotions, his music is not conditioned by a certain formula, which could be found in all his compositions, but rather, simply allowing the actions of his life to be reflected in music. With only 5 years of study, Klipsun had his first release by the renowned Australian record label, Zenon Records. In 2015, Klipsun introduced to the world an innovative style of sound design linked to harmonies and cinematic storytelling and perfected by Lucas. His release, entitled ‘Ambivalent Fields’, gained support from artists already established in the scene, such as Sensient, Ace Ventura, among others. Over the years, Klipsun has worked with several labels around the world, keeping his productions focused on providing a new sensory perspective, exploring different styles and genres of electronic music. This led to him attracting the attention of several important producers on the international scene, who led him to collect collaborations and remixes. In 2019, Klipsun entered the Brazilian scene even further as a promising artist of the new generation. Joining the cast of the renowned DM7 was a key moment for Lucas to begin the journey towards solidifying his brand and artistic signature in Brazil. Participating in the major national line-ups and being a prominent presence among progressive artists, highlighted by his unique sound, hypnotic and highly striking sets. In 2022, in a post-pandemic year, Klipsun surprised the public with the birth of the CronoCops project in collaboration with Marco Element. This project left a deep impression on the current generation of psy-trance lovers with the release of the debut album entitled “Who Built It?”, which was acclaimed as a true masterpiece of modern psy-trance, demonstrating the continuous evolution and innovation of his sound. Already consolidated in Brazil, in the subsequent years of 2023 and 2024 he increasingly expanded his sound frontiers. Inside the studio, in addition to the album "Who Built It", with the CronoCops project, he worked hard to begin shaping a totally new aesthetic to once again reinvent himself as an artist. This culminated in an invitation to join the casting of the largest psy-trance label in the world: Iboga Records. With his debut release reaching the top two of Beatport Psytrance Releases. At the same time, Klipsun expanded his music beyond Brazil, debuting his first Euro tour at festivals such as Hadra, Wonderland, Drops and a remarkable performance at the Ozora Festival. In 2025, Klipsun arrives as one of the new members of Iboga Records and Iboga Tech, along with the preparation of his first solo album, celebrating his first ten years of career.
