Born down under in Melbourne, Australia, Connor MacNamara aka Meraki is fast becoming a recognisable name in the Australian psychedelic music scene. His signature style of Progressive Psytrance combines beautifully crafted melodies, chunky baselines mixed with the sounds of nature and tribal rhythms to create a powerful and cathartic experience. Highlighted by many festival goers and clubbers both nationwide and internationally is his unique ability to take over the dancefloor with his technical and creative performance as a DJ/Producer – having the audience in the palm of his hand and tuned into every sound. He started producing in 2014 and after many years of performing and writing music Meraki had his first official release. “No Control” which landed in 2021 on UP Records, entering the Psytrance Beatport chart at #1. Coming out alongside legends and idols in the scene, Neelix, Vini Vici and Interactive Noise. After that came multiple releases on different international labels such as Odiva records and Psyfeature racking up over 100’000 plays collectively. Meraki has now supported some of the best Psytrance acts from around the world including Neelix, Captain Hook, Morten Granau, Phaxe, Ace Ventura, Mandragora, 4i20, Ritmo, Jilax, Unseen Dimensions, Tetrameth and Ryanosaurus. Having also played Internationally at Green Gathering festival in Nepal showcasing all of his best original music at the end of 2022, showcasing his gain of momentum world-wide. His expression is pure and simple. To remind the listener of the power in the present moment and to celebrate life, having as much fun as humanly possible.
